But what do you think?
I wanted to add some thing for the background and some water drops for th screen, how do I do that?

Hi Vitor,
I think the water surface should react to the water drop a little earlier. And if you want to make it more realistic, have tiny drops flying out fast when the water drop collides with the surface.I like the shape of the water afterwards though. :)

Also if you make the waterdrop change its shape (softbody and turbulence type FX in maya) as it drops that would make it more realistic.

I think you should render the sim. It will look great!

I love the detail in these animations.

I'll probably resimulate the water drop but I can't resimulate anything more again.
It would take me two days to do everything again.
I don't have the time to do that again.

The simulation was done in RF how could I do that?

I have a lot of fire shapes to do.
I've you seen the renders that I have done?
What do you think of the shading?

I haven't used RF in a long while. So i'm just guessing..
Can you make the waterdrop animation in maya with softbody then bake out the animation then bring it in RF to create the splash animation?

I missed the link with rendered images. I like the water renders. I would love to see an animation rendered.

Well honestly I don't know but the truth is that I really don't have the time to do that.
My final date is April 22 and I really have to finish the renders of the water & fire shapes until the end of this month because I'll need the rest of the month for post production. There I think I can play a lot with the shapes and transform what I don't like.

Tell me something. Do you like the photographic frame on the pics?

Yup I was only suggesting that adding motion to the waterdrop may add some realism. Dont worry if your time is tight before the deadline. I think you have pretty cool sims.
I do like those photographic images.

I'm not very fond of the fire though.. it seems to have strange patterns.

2 cents.

I've created some abstract shapes for the emitters.
A third of a sphere you know.
But tell me what don't you like?
This was my best result so far, so I've been working on it a lot.
Cheers

Regarding the fire, I think it depends on what's burning.. I think your fire has soft look with fluid look. I think fire in general has shaper look.

These are my latest results for my final animation project.
FumeFx & Maya:
Some are just tests, others are really final results but without post:

Hope you like them.
I have worked a lot on the detail because what interests me is to find a certain shapes, that dancing look of the flames. They are all in slow motion.
Cheers

Hi Vitor, I like this one done with fumefx. It has nice detail in the fire. The maya fire still looks soft and has strange pattern I think.

Posted Image

Question: having used fumefx now, is it easier to create nice looking fire than creating one in Maya?

A lot easier.
Incredible but one thing his important to say.
The tutorials that Allan Mckay provides just show that.
You can't find the same levels of tutorials that you find in Fume that in Maya.
And that is one of the most important things to say.
When inspiration arises, it will find you working.

Just a sneak peak on my Final Animation, Master Degree, Project.
There are still some fire shapes yet to render and a lot of post production to be done.
Hope you all like.
